Phase II Complete

Overall size, 32" high, 40" wide, 18" deep. This is a step up in size and construction and detail from the previous Phase I attempt. I've been contemplating the final construction method, having narrowed it down to acrylic and aluminum. I feel like aluminum would look too industrial, so I think my next scale up will be constructed with clear acrylic circles and rods holding the image pieces off of the background. This way, it will look more like the pieces are floating and appear less constructed. I will experiment both with printing the images directly onto the acrylic, and with adhering paper printed images to the surface of the circles.

Detail shot.

How are "dreams", "memories", and "reality" connected?

True Stuff

“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.” - Susan Sontag
